Our Areas of Expertise
Marine/offshore barge load outs – Various winches and power packs were supplied by Atlas during the load out of a semi-submersible rig under construction in Spain. Numerous similar projects have been undertaken throughout the UK and Europe.
Shipyard/harbour services & equipment – Various winches, mooring equipment and skilled personnel available to assist in quayside and ship to shore movements of loads and vessels – worldwide facilities available.
Offshore/onshore drilling installations – Atlas Winch & Hoist Services supply winches, small hand winches and mounted winches specifically designed to meet the requirements of offshore as well as onshore oil and gas lifting applications.
Bridge launching – Atlas Winch & Hoist Services designed, supplied and operated the winching system used to launch this 3,000 tonne bridge section into place in Crewe.
Utility Equipment – At Atlas, we can supply winches for all utility sectors including telecoms, power, water and gas. We have become specialists in this field and have the largest and most comprehensive hire fleets of its kind in the UK. Our cable pulling winches have capacities up to 20 tonnes. Bond lengths are available up to 2,000 metres. For some special applications, bond lengths in excess of 1,500 metres have been successfully used. Servicing, repair and testing is also available across the range.
