Supporting Your Project
In addition to supplying your winching equipment, we can also support your project in a myriad of practical ways. Our goal is to share our professional experience with your team, so you can complete your work in a safe and efficient manner.
We can assist you in the following ways:
Experienced Operators & Engineers
At your request, we can provide you with one of our fully trained engineers to operate Atlas equipment or your own winching machinery. Our operators are trained to handle both onshore and offshore equipment, where we can also provide you with specialist spooling equipment if a qualified engineer is on-site.
Servicing & Repairs
We make sure that all of our equipment is kept in good working order, so you can hire from us with confidence. Despite this, regular servicing is also encouraged, where we can inspect long term hires or your own equipment. Additionally, we can provide repairs as well as replacement parts for a wide range of winches, hoists and lifting gear.
Testing & Examinations
Our qualified engineers can carry out official LOLER inspections on your winching equipment, where this stands for Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations. A LOLER inspection, also known as a Thorough Examination, is a detailed inspection of your lifting equipment by a competent person, where we will then generate a full report containing our findings.
We have access to a 100 tonne in-house test bed and a 160 tonne portable test frame, where this equipment allows us to inspect a wide range of lifting equipment across the UK.
Training
We’re equipped to offer accredited training programmes to your team, so you can operate specialised machinery with confidence. This can be offered both in-house and on-site, according to your project needs. Our training covers standard cable pulling winch operation as well as non-standard operations to suit specific client requirements.
Refurbishments
Our team possesses extensive experience in handling lifting equipment, meaning we can provide a comprehensive refurbishment service to all our clients. We can upgrade, adapt and modify any winch to help you to stay on top of the latest technological developments. In addition to this, all of our refurbishments are fully warranted, so you can rest assured that your modifications will be of the best quality.
Bespoke Solutions
At Atlas, we’re proud of our bespoke solutions and packages, where we always assess the needs of our clients on an individual basis. A qualified engineer will carry out a full site visit to fully understand your requirements, where bespoke equipment design solutions will then be formulated based on your project budget and timeframe. This personalised service means that you will have the best lifting equipment to hand in order to complete your project to a high standard.

New & Used Equipment
When completing a project with the help of lifting and hauling equipment, it is important to consider all the ways you can acquire specialist tools. For some, a short or long term hire contract is the best solution, where this is a great way to gain access to a high quality piece of kit that you may only need for one precision application.
Beyond this, our expert team maintains an inventory of second hand winching equipment and accessories, where these models are also available for purchase. Because our team of engineers is so specialised and highly skilled, we can refurbish and restore used equipment in order to return it to a like-new condition. This means that you can acquire the very best tools for your project whilst contributing to a sustainable economy of repurposed equipment.
